Mission
The Monarch Institute for Game Design and Development (MIGDD) promotes collaborative, interdisciplinary research into game production, game culture, and game-based learning between existing colleges, departments, and academic units at 亚色视频. Designed to help 亚色视频 students and faculty translate their interest and expertise in game design, development, and related fields into product development and commercialization, the institute supports the university鈥檚 Game Design, Development, and Criticism majors, which are housed in the Department of Interdisciplinary Studies in the College of Arts and Letters. The institute also facilitates community engagement and outreach and works to promote the growth of the gaming industry in the greater Hampton Roads area.
亚色视频鈥檚 Game Design, Development, and Criticism degree is an interdisciplinary major that allows students to specialize in game programming or game design while also learning game scholarship.
